In this videocast I discuss the philosophical concept of beauty/aesthetics.

You can view the videocast here.

Feedback welcome.

P.S. The photograph you see here is a favorite of mine. It reads: "beauty geek."

Yes, we have moved on way too fast from earlier times. What you saw is what you got, ja?
I dig the scarf you're rocking here.
I reckon, there is text behind the clothing... :)

May I ask where the photo comes from?

This needs to be heard more. Oh, how aesthetics has shifted through time...

More food for thought.
However, I wonder if you could comment on what it was that caused the shift away from the 'weight' of the 'exterior.'
What informed then Baumgarten's thinking to divorce aesthetics from content as you say?

"If something follows the pace of nature, then it's bound to be beautiful."
What literary work marks the departure from this attitude re: aesthetics?

It's funny. On the tonight's Number 1 Ladies' episode, the character of Grace said that beauty and goodness have nothing in common.
Things have shifted, indeed.
