When Wolverine's on Stage, Put the Phone on Vibrate, Folks

The scene: Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig acting on Broadway.
The fiasco: a spectator's phone goes off.
The punch line: Jackman goes Wolverine on the spectator.

Seriously, folks, pick at least the vibrate option. The ring-ring does vex. See the footage here:

i couldn't make out what anyone involved was really saying, but it appears as though jackman and craig handled it well.

also, it's rude enough when in the cinema, but distracting live actors on stage is beyond rude.

There's something to be said about civility and decorum and it upsets me that we've lost so much of it. Cell phone manners is one of the things that's gone downhill. Jackman is a much better man, I'll give you that. He handled it very well. It's not only rude it's highly disrespectful to leave a phone's ringer on when at a LIVE theater performance.

I couldn't make out what he was saying most of the time either but his body language was respectfully vexed.

Also, I mostly keep my phone on vibrate. Don't know why more people don't do so. I don't care to hear people's playlists blast out of their phones. If I want to buy Jay-Z's album, I'll turn to iTunes, thank you very much!

There is no excuse for not turning rings off in a theater. No excuse. They always remind patrons beforehand. The worst is people who leave their ringer on, and it goes off, and then they don't turn it off, and then it rings again. A classmate's phone went off 3 times in class, and someone's in the library went off twice. Dude. Once, maybe, but repeat offenses are unforgivable.

It's so rude to let your phone ring while at the theater. I mean, how self-centered do some of us have to be to not factor in the other people around us? I mean actors already have a script. It's not reality tv, it's theater. WOW!

It is SOOOO annoying. I only use the vibrate option, too.
