Is Clothing Text?

As per some of your requests, here is my piece on Clothing as Text.
Feedback is welcome.
Enjoy.

Ok, this will make you roll your eyes now, but I really appreciate how you bring big concepts into the smaller picture. Such a Humanities-oriented piece!
This manufactured consent... A good way to give a tip of the hat to your Chomsky.
Thanks. I enjoyed.

And this picture is beautiful.
So European, so new, and the Nutella... Meine Guete!

... a book worth reading... Clothing does speak for us when we don't or don't choose to.

I agree. This is a cool pic. I esp. like this audio bit. Clothing represents essential things as much as any text of relevance out there. thx

I really enjoy these pieces. thx. And, just in case I hadn't already intimated this, I now say things like 'wow, how do you gender this or that?' :)

Thanks for this, I love these pieces. I think this one is my favorite so far. I totally get it.

It brought back visions of my mother wrestling my 4 or 5 year old whining and wriggling self into a pretty little dress, which is something I have never felt comfortable in. My mom so wanted a little girl, and instead she got a little tomboy. (Sorry, ma, that's just the way I am.)

Every getup is text, and a genderable one at that.
Today I have torn Diesel's with an A. Taylor top.
