Enter: Joe the Plumber

Those of you who saw the debates last night will have undoubtedly been informed of Joe the plumber. Joe, aka Joe Wurzelbacher of Ohio met with Obama briefly before the latter (not that one) got to NY's Hofstra University for the debate. Wurzelbacher asked him if he would be too taxed by Obama's plan.
Now, under Obama's plan only those who make $250.000 and/or more will see their taxes get higher.

Here's the video:

My question is, if Joe the plumber actually an average Joe? Incidentally, Joe, the plumber can now be found on wikipedia.

As to Joe the Plumber having an article in wikipedia, yes and no: "Joe the Plumber" redirects you to the article on the debates. But if you type out his first and last names you get the article on him.

While watching the debate, I thought he was an imaginary average Joe sort for rhetorical purposes. But he sure has become a celebrity of the moment. I read a Yahoo article in which he claimed to be guarding his vote, but then clearly showed a preference for McCain in everything else he said.

Which is funny, because after watching the debate, I still don't know what McCain's tax plan is.

Right. Information on him was entered on wikipedia basically overnight. He does not have a full page but he has a healthy paragraph.
