Best Blog Sentence of the Day

This bit is the most interesting thing I read on the blogs today. The American Scene is a blog I read occasionally.

Is clothing text?
Peter Suderman seems to concur.

"Giving his speech in Pennsylvania, Obama, as usual, looks chic in his suit, but as he speaks, three young men are standing behind him, and each have very prominent Abercrombie & Fitch logos displayed on rather rumpled t-shirts. Anything for the youth vote, I suppose."

and have you seen those Urban Outfitter t-shirts with the candidates' faces printed on them? they were still selling a Rudy Giuliani the other day. for a moment there I thought I was back in 2007. quite a flashback.

buzz media at work! no doubt A&F paid a bit for those 3 adorable boyz' time. And yet, product placement is way less expensive than traditional media buys, e.g. TV, print, radio.
