Vogue Fact

One of my favorite economists posted the following fact on his blog today.

"Of Vogue’s 840 pages, 727 are ads, or: 13 percent is editorial."

Should anyone be surprised at this? A good friend/associate of mine actually subscribes to this magazine. I never thought it was for the 'articles.' The hunch was perhaps right this time.

this is exactly why i don't understand the cost of a magazine. i know those five page spreads are not cheap. by the way, where have you been? first week of school had you busy, i suppose. glad you're back...

Right... I cannot believe that people actually pay the 5 dollars these zines costs just for the pix. Much has traspired hence the lack of presence. But more visitations are upcoming :-) Btw, what do you think of Larry David's Curb your Enthusiasm? He is starting season 6 on HBO, apparently....

I do treat myself to it every great once in a while-Vogue can be eye candy for me sometimes. I love to see the fabric draping and I make some great knock-offs from styles with my own little twists.
