Pulp: Common People

Tip of the hat to J for successfully teaching me what the premise of this song by Pulp is actually all about.
So, it took me a while to ‘get’ what "Common People" is all about. But I think I sort of got it now.
If you have not heard this before, give this uber-hip band a chance. They were cool long before 'cool' was defined on this side of the pond.
And, might I also suggest that you check out William Shatner's cover of "Common People". No, it's not a joke. Yes, I have it and I do like it.

Often, in my own work and research in the realm of the Middle Ages and Gender Theory, I talk about the 'gaze.' I try to capture it visually the way it is captured in 0.21 in this video.
I only became aware of it after it was pointed out to me.
Of course, I concur. Maybe I need to capture a new, slightly less geeky gesture to capture such a concept.
I'm open to suggestions, of course.
